Consider how the wild flowers grow ~ Luke 12:27
Illustration of the Month

Recently, I started working on my 'Wives of Henry VIII' collection of illustrations. This one is of Anne Boleyn. Each illustration contains plants and a stain glass design that are inspired by the lady her self. Anne Boleyn's royal seal was of a white falcon, and she was also associated with roses (particularly red roses), which symbolised her tie to the Tudor monarchy and her notorious romance (that changed Britain forever).
Other details I included were her green sleeves (inspired by the song, that legend said was inspired by her... even though it probably wasn't), and a red and gold ring that Anne gifted to Henry before their marriage.
